These classes meet once a week for seven weeks, focusing exclusively on wheel throwing and providing a hands-on opportunity to learn the fundamentals of pottery. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced potter looking to refine your skills, our classes offer the perfect environment for growth and creativity.

You’ll also enjoy ample open studio time to practice between classes, allowing you to refine techniques, experiment, and fully immerse yourself in the art of ceramics. Join us and get your hands dirty!

 

 

Wheel-Throwing Classes

In these 3-hour sessions, you’ll learn the essentials of throwing pottery on the wheel, including centering, pulling walls, shaping forms, and glazing. Our experienced instructors will guide you step by step, helping you build confidence and skill in creating your own ceramic pieces.

What You’ll Learn:

• Week 1-2: Basics of wheel throwing, including centering, pulling, and forming cylinders.
• Week 3-4: Shaping more advanced forms like bowls, mugs, and vases.
• Week 5-6: Surface decoration techniques and trimming.
• Week 7: Glazing and final touches.

Pricing:

7-Week Course: $320 per student.
This price includes clay and firing for up to 10 pieces. Tools are available to use or bring your own tools to ensure you have the tools you need.
